Using relaxation techniques can help you to prepare your body and mind to astral project. Meditation is the best way to get started. You need to find a meditation technique which works for you in getting you into the relaxed state needed for astral projecting.
You should do your meditation in a quiet room where you have a comfortable place to sit and will not be interrupted or distracted. Start freeing your mind of worry and tension. You can?t astral project when you have these negative energies in your mind. Begin to eliminate all thoughts from your mind and focus on your breathing. You want to take deep, slow breaths ? in thorough your nose, out through your mouth. If you can remain focused on your breathing, you?ll begin to feel yourself relaxing.
Keep focusing on your breathing ? breathe out all of your stress. Concentrate only on talking deep breaths ? in through the nose, out through the mouth. Your breaths should grow slower and deeper as you move your focus to relaxing your body.
Starting from your toes and working your way up, relax each part of your body. There are two ways you can do this. One is to tense, then relax each part of your body as you move upwards, the other is to visualize the tension leaving each part of your body as you exhale.
As the tension and negative energies leave your body, you?ll start to feel heavy and deeply relaxed. Once you have finished relaxing your body, you?re ready to move on to the next step.
Once you are fully relaxed, you may be ready to fall asleep ? don?t doze off, you?re almost there! Repeat a phrase to yourself to stay focused. It doesn?t matter what this mantra is. Even ?around the corner? can work ? just choose a phrase which you can focus on and repeat it.
The human mind will wander when it is unoccupied by anything else; this can break the concentration necessary to astral project. To stay on track towards astral projecting, just keep repeating your phrase.
You have to achieve an altered state of consciousness in order to astral project. You can reach this state by continuing to repeat your phrase to yourself. Another method preferred by many to astral project is the ?body of light? method, where you visualize your body transforming into one made of light.
